Almost glasses season.
Almost glasses season.
Oh there you sit
In your thrown of rounded glass.
I long, as others do,
To smell you -
Taste you. On toast,
On pancakes with
My fingers or a spoon
Nutella, forever I swoon.
These last couple of weeks I’ve been a major diet cheat. Not counting everything I ate, eating way more than I need to - just being a generally Naughty Norma. So it want surprising when I put on 1lb last week. I didn’t learn my lesson and went for cocktails, had pizza express twice and even had half a large dominos, mozzarella dippers and their warm cookies! So unsurprisingly I p- WHAT? I lost 2lbs??? I love Weight Watchers!
This is a tricky one. On some days I’d see results but on others my other leg looked better. The deal with brushing is if you did it religiously every day I’m sure you’d see some results. However, brushing your legs for 20 minutes a day is pretty annoying when you’d rather be eating/sleeping/gaming. Here are some vital stats:
Cost - only £5
Effort - easy yet annoying
Results - varied
Recommended? - definitely worth a go
Apologies for the lack of updates but a lot has happened these past few weeks! I’ve contracted and beaten a cold, cheated horrendously on my diet, had a phone interview for BP and lost 1lb!
So today it seems that all this brushing malarkey has been worth the trouble. Just when I think the whole shebang is pointless I see a difference! No difference in measurements between the two, so definitely can’t say it has slimmed my thigh in any way - but it sure is smoother.
Weigh-in day today and this week I’ve lost 5lbs! Can’t say I’m not happy, I feel as if I’ve still eaten pretty much what I want this week. I’m now 11lb away from my goal weight and pretty optimistic. So here is my Weight Watchers verdict:
Am I hungry? - Nope, not at all.
Can I still eat pudding? - Today I’ve had apple crumble, carrot cake and 2 tea cakes.
What about the money? - TBH it works really well as a financial incentive and worked out at around £10 a month
Does it work? - Yes. Yes it does.
Pretty good marks all round, then.
Still brushing, still using The Firminator… Still not seeing results. Pretty unimpressed as there’s no visible difference at the moment. Hopefully by Sunday I’ll see a difference visibly and in measurements!
No, really. After my usual ten minute body brush I slapped on some of The Firminator. I was expecting a cream but it looked an smelt like toothpaste! For the next ten minutes my whole thigh was all tingly and very perculiar. I’m pretty sure they pack the stuff full of menthol to make it feel likes it’s doing something, but still, it’s a nice touch. The tube says to apply twice a day and in 56 days I’ll be amazed? 56 DAYS?! We’ll see…
In more ways than one. Apologies for the lack of updates but I had a huge piece of work in for today. Today is also my last day of only body brushing! Starting tonight I’ll be using The Firminator too (right thigh only of course) so watch this space.
Three times now, this morning, I have found myself day dreaming about my work and then realising I have somehow walked into the kitchen and am staring into the fridge. How is this happening? Do I usually do this and just eat? Luckily I’m now used to assessing whether it’s my head or my stomach that’s hungry and found the answer to be neither. Puzzling.
Day Three Body Brushing
Eager to begin, I asked Mr Duck which thigh looked better before I started. He said the left one -.- Anyway, I brushed for ten minutes and asked for a second opinion and he still said the left seemed smoother… Until I turned around. Dubious, I asked for photo evidence (which I will not be putting up… At least not until the very end when at least one is smooth!) and was amazed! There is a very obvious difference! They’re both still bumpy but my right thigh is very clearly smoother than the left. I’m pretty impressed considering this is only day three and there’s already a visible difference. Hopefully this continues!
